The Edge is a four-day immersive leadership retreat on the remote Pacific coast of Costa Rica, where the jungle meets the sea. Through reflective personal work complemented by thoughtfully selected adventures, you’ll reset, sharpen your perspective, and return home with a clearer sense of how to lead from the next level.

I first came to Pavones in 2011, and this wild corner of Costa Rica has been one of my greatest teachers; the jungle, the ocean, and the community have shaped me in ways I’m still discovering. Since making it my home in 2022, I’ve had the dream of gathering a small circle of leaders here on the edge where the rainforest meets the sea, where I’ve so often met the edges of myself. This retreat is an intimate gathering for leaders ready to stretch, restore, and return home with a new clarity and capacity to lead.​
After 15 years designing personal and leadership development programs for teams from scrappy startups to Fortune 500s, I’m deeply honored to finally share work I’ve created for you—a leader who knows that true growth happens at the edge of comfort.
In a world where one-size-fits-all no longer works—and where endless options leave us more drained than inspired—I’ve designed an experience where all you have to do is show up and say “yes.”

Thanks to long-standing relationships in this community, we’ll weave in locally-led excursions and adventures to complement the Seed & Soil development sessions I’ll facilitate each day, with space for potent 1:1 coaching along the way. While the group will be on the journey together, each person's agenda will be tailored to meet them at their unique edge.

The Edge retreat is designed for senior leaders - founders, executives or senior leaders of teams - who are hungry for a new challenge in how they consider their leadership development. It is a space for leaders who are navigating growth and change in their organization and know the only way to lead that sustainably is to examine their own leadership and develop new skills and mindsets to lead from a new place.

Whether it is surfing, horseback riding into the jungle, ATV rides to hidden waterfalls, or a quiet massage by the pool, your adventure time will be specific to your edge.

Meals, snacks & hydrating drinks, home made and fresh from the local jungle. Private rooms with sweeping views of the sea and the stillness of the jungle.

Rugged, wild and unpredictable makes you uncomfortable to the point of unhappiness. While the accommodations are incredibly comfortable, everything about Pavones is slower and more rustic as it is an undeveloped part of a developing country.

the residence
The Edge Residence features breathtaking panoramic views and fresh jungle breezes from every room.

Located at the top of a hill, it is a 10 min walk to the nearest beach.
Transportation will be provided door to door to/from all excursions.

All rooms have air conditioning and high speed WiFi throughout.
​
Enjoy the infinity pool, onsite fitness/yoga space & ice bath for staying energized.

Private rooms are on the ground floor, separated from the shared space, providing space to recharge how you like. ​
